ARTISTS’ THOUGHTS:
Falling into someone else… away from yourself… the merge of the embrance… lost in a freefall.
I’ve been wondering what it meant to fall in love.
Was it the feeling of wonder, those sooped up chemicals coursing through the body – that delicious lust… Or, was it a feeling of safety, security, freedom- genetic matches and baby making science.
Or was it belonging – to be witnessed, validated – to say, I see you… here…alive with me, as you are. What did it mean to you? You see, there are pieces of me that remember you like this… but mostly, it felt like falling, and now, I am cautious of heights.
I think that maybe, we were all just young and dumb once. So… I don’t remember much…but I do remember the fall.
This piece will be available as part of a group exhibition at Pro Frame Van Gogh Gallery
