Birds on a wire – Artists’ Thoughts
You remind me of a younger version of myself…and as you do, I know that I used to be a bird on a wire too… close enough to the world to feel, taste and smell all the senses…far enough to just observe.
I used to ride on busses, hurriedly sketching crinkles in old mens’ faces – sitting in coffee shops studying the colours that make up skin.
Not black
Not white
Bursts of colour errupt- light illuminates; shadows pull play the contrast.
A wide-eyed wonder, the world was beautiful.
Grateful to feel, taste, smell and watch like a bird on a wire.
We do not flock closely together. Spaces are wide and there is much to send home of all we have learned….

If anything at all…
Except that there is wonder in the mundane and melancholy… as you observe eye observe you.
