ARTISTS’ THOUGHTS:
We all wear armour to some degree or other. We adorn it within the limits of every person we meet. Sometimes, we’re hard metal and full of spikes… other times we are cloaked in colours and patterns – pleasing and appeasing to get by unscathed. Sarcasm, Rage, Humour, long silences, avoidance, detachment, attachment, agreeability, or the flippant- I am fine!… sometimes, I wonder, if we wear it to keep ourselves in, or others out, or if it’s all the same… until it becomes welded to our body-beingness…have you asked yourself? what’s it really for? Protecting self or others or both? God forbid you should be vulnerable in this human experience, just as we are.
This piece will be available as part of a group exhibition at Pro Frame Van Gogh Gallery
