Artists Thoughts
There are faces I fall in love with -hers was one of them.
Some artworks just look at you differently. Even as an artist, you don’t always know what is going to come back at you through brush strokes and textures.
Someone once told me never to hope because it prolongs agony. And it makes perfect sense really, because hope is a future event that may or may not happen for you. He said: “You must know what is for you and expect it.” But this piece means something a little different, it is a Hope full of mystery, something that clings to life with fingernails bent into it, lingering between the spaces of knowledge and Gods.
She now lives with a wonderful man on his farm – I hope they make each other smile mischievously every day.
The painting has been part of group exhibitions as part of the Limited-edition Black Canvas Projects collection.
